About the Farm

Roots & Spores
Specialty Agriculture

A commercially focused, diversified specialty-agriculture enterprise in southern Vermont โ€” built around regenerative principles, premium crops, and long-term resilience.

Who We Are

Built for the Long Haul

Roots & Spores Specialty Agriculture is a diversified farm enterprise based in southern Vermont. We grow gourmet mushrooms, microgreens, specialty crops, and herbs alongside developing enterprises in Vermont saffron, farm-fresh eggs, and apiary management.

The farm is deliberately designed as an integrated system โ€” each enterprise connected to the others ecologically and operationally. This is not a collection of separate hobby projects. It is a commercially focused specialty-agriculture business, built to be resilient, scalable, and financially viable.

Our tagline โ€” Regenerative by Nature. Exceptional by Design. โ€” reflects both our approach to land stewardship and our commitment to producing food and crops that are genuinely excellent.

We grow for the Vermont food economy: for chefs and restaurants that want traceable specialty ingredients, for home customers who value knowing their farmer, and for wholesale buyers seeking high-quality local produce.
